This is how it works
This is how it works:
You pay a security deposit, daily rates and contract fee upfront.
Example:
If you rent a Group B Vehicle, VW Polo Vivo or Similar for 3 days, you will pay a refundable security deposit of R4000, daily rates of R550 , and contract fee R100. Total will be R5750.
Your R4000 will be refunded in full in 7 working days, and on safe return of the vehicle. The following conditions must have been met:
1. You return the vehicle in the same condition as you received it. wear and tear accepted.
2. Driven within the free Kilometres given to you. We will only charge if you exceed the kilometers.
3. Refueled the vehicle to full capacity.
4. Only drivers listed in the contract drive the vehicle.
Dear valued customers,
The vehicles that are in group A are as follows:
Suzuki S presso, Hyandai I10 and Volkswagen Up.
These cars are only available in manual Transmission. Their daily rates is R495.
Security deposit for group A is R3500 which is refundable in 7 working days.
The vehicles that are in group B and D are as follows:
Volkswagen Polo Vivo vehicles which are available in manual and automatic transmission.
Kia Rio vehicles which are available in manual and automatic transmission.
Suzuki Swift which is only in manual transmission.
Daily rates for the vehicles listed above is R550 for manual transmission and R650 for automatic transmission.
Security deposit for these cars is R4000 which is refundable in 7 working days.
Please remember that 7 working days means that we only count Monday to Friday and we do not count Saturday and Sunday.

This is How Our Long - Term or Month to Month Rental Works:
Group B vehicles:
- Rate per month: R8900
- Deposit: R8000
- Contract Fee: R100
- 3000 Free kilometres per month
- Extra kilometers: R3.15 p/km
Each time when 30 days ends, you must come back to our store, and we will then:
1. Reinspect the vehicle to check for any damages that may have been caused by yourself,
2. Check if you haven't exceeded free kilometers. We will only charge if you exceeded the free kilometers.
3. If you have refueled the vehicle to full capacity.
4. Check for excessive speeding.
5. Only drivers listed in the contract must drive the vehicle.
After we have reinspected the vehicle and have satisfied ourselves that everything is in order, we will then refund your R8000 security deposit in full in 7 working days.
These are our Requirements when renting a car at Phokus Car Rental:
Bring your driver's license, ID, proof of residence, pay slip and 3 months bank statement when you come to rent a car from us.
If You Have a Credit Card
Bring your credit card engraved with your name on it and driver's license.
Examples of Proof of residence.
Your municipal account, letter from your ward councilor, clothing account statement, lease agreement signed by yourself and your landlord or a signed affidavit by your landlord confirming your residency at the address you provided.
We do not accept bank statements as proof of residence.
If you are a business owner, please bring your company registration certificate, 3 months bank statement, directors identity documents and a proxy letter from your company's board of directors.
We accept debit cards, cheque and credit cards. You can also do immediate payment via EFT.
We do not accept cash.

We will also check kilometers, toll fees, over speeding, traffic fines and if the vehicle is refuelled to capacity.
